THE INTRO

A wholly owned subsidiary of City National Bank, First American Equipment Finance (FAEF) serves middle-market and investment-grade organizations across the US with technology hardware and software solutions and infrastructure improvements. The company specializes in combining products and services from multiple vendors and service providers into a single equipment lease.

THE CHALLENGE

Because they serve 25 different industry verticals, FAEF came to Envative looking for a way to effectively create 25 “mini sites” within their corporate website—something they couldn’t do internally without developer support or financial overhead for the long term. In fact, the corporate site, built with older technologies, was also due for an upgrade.

The 10-person marketing team and Envative agreed that a new corporate website with design elements that could “family” across each of the verticals served by FAEF was the first step to solving this challenge. The newly designed site would offer a clean, engaging look and simple navigation to the relevant vertical sites.

THE GOAL

Both the corporate site and the mini sites were created with the SmarterCMS solution, built within the Kentico CMS platform, an easy-to-use content management system (CMS) that would enable fast, low-cost, ongoing updates to content and text. Customized but flexible page templates mirroring the look of the corporate site offered a cohesive and easy way for each vertical marketing manager to update information offered to prospects and customers. The Envative team provided hands-on and follow-up training to FAEF users to make sure everyone was comfortable using the new CMS.

THE SOLUTION

Not only does FAEF now have a uniform and recognizable look among all vertical mini sites within the corporation, it also has a long-term, low-cost solution to keep each of its websites up-to-date with key information to help grow its business. In addition, FAEF reported that its internal team is “thrilled” with its ease of use and feedback on their new site was extremely positive.
